# Bolt Torque-to-Preload Calculator implementation

A source-bound implementation contract for Bolt Torque-to-Preload Calculator; deployment and executable qualification remain separate.

Status: **VERIFIED_WITH_ERRATA**Lifecycle: **implementation-contract**

## Binding contract

This record describes what an executable surface must bind and validate. It does not claim that a public calculator, package, or production route is deployed.

**Record owner**: Guth Instruments

**Lifecycle**: verified-with-binding-errata

**Evidence ID**: t5-031

**Effect**: Computation or source lookup only

## Input and validation requirements

The inverse calculation is undefined when K·d=0 and should reject the input. The result is also highly sensitive to the dry-versus-lubricated K-factor branch and to diameter units; a unit misinterpretation changes 10 N·m to 10000 N·m.
