Blood Type / Transfusion Compatibility Reference implementation

A source-bound implementation contract for Blood Type / Transfusion Compatibility Reference; deployment and executable qualification remain separate.

Status: VERIFIED_CLEANLifecycle: implementation-contract

Binding contract

This record describes what an executable surface must bind and validate. It does not claim that a public calculator, package, or production route is deployed.

Effect
Computation or source lookup only

Input and validation requirements

An empty recipient-type string produces an undefined lookup-domain input and must be rejected. A second hazard is directional ambiguity: reversing donor and recipient for O- changes the RBC result from 1 compatible donor type to 8 compatible recipient types.

Required corrections

No binding erratum is attached to this unique-name record. Implementers must still preserve the declared units, domain, and failure behavior.

Inspectable interface fixture

The sample below is evidence for interface and validation tests, not a production implementation.

Plasma check: O plasma contains anti-A and anti-B, so it is compatible only with an O recipient. 3. Under the stated plasma convention, either RhD status is acceptable: O plasma donors = O- and O+. Result: RBC = [O-]; plasma = [O-, O+]."
