Review findings

The numerical Wien-law computation passes when temperature is a positive Kelvin value and b is treated as 2.898e-3 m·K. The empty honest_label is inadequate because the color-impression output is qualitative and undefined by the supplied specification; the UI should disclose the Kelvin requirement, constant precision, spectral-radiance convention, and the limits of assigning visible color.

Formula and scope findings

  • The wavelength formula is correct: λ_max = b/T for the peak of blackbody spectral radiance expressed per unit wavelength.
  • No formula or defined classification mapping is supplied for the claimed 'color impression' output. Peak wavelength alone does not uniquely determine perceived blackbody color, particularly when the peak is outside the visible spectrum.
  • The stated b=2.898e-3 m·K is a rounded Wien displacement constant; the specification should state the intended precision or CODATA version if exact reproducibility is required.

Unit assumptions

  • Temperature must be an absolute temperature in kelvins (K), not Celsius or Fahrenheit.
  • The constant b=2.898e-3 m·K produces λ_max in metres when temperature is supplied in kelvins.
  • Conversion factors are 1 m = 1e9 nm and 1 m = 1e6 μm.
  • The formula refers specifically to the peak of spectral radiance per unit wavelength; the peak differs if expressed per unit frequency or wavenumber.

Boundary hardening

BREAK_CLAIMED · SELF_FLAGGED

Unspecified domain and unit handling produce undefined results at 0 K, overflow at extremely small positive temperatures, a rejected negative-temperature branch, and radically different results when 0 is interpreted as Celsius versus Kelvin.
