HCLTech and CrowdStrike said on Sept. 14 they are expanding their partnership to sell AI security as a managed service. The offering combines CrowdStrike's Falcon Guardian with HCLTech's consulting, implementation, AI governance and managed security work, run out of the Indian firm's Cybersecurity Fusion Centers.
Chinese model developer Z.AI, formerly known as Zhipu AI, disclosed in a September 13 Hong Kong exchange filing a placement of new shares worth about $2 billion and a concurrent sale of roughly $3 billion in zero-coupon convertible bonds, with most proceeds earmarked for model development and computing.

Legal AI company Harvey said on September 9 it has acquired Guardrails AI, a San Francisco startup that builds open-source tools for testing and constraining AI agents. The same day Harvey announced a $550 million funding round that it said values the company at $15.5 billion.
CrowdStrike and OpenAI said on Sept. 2 that CrowdStrike's Falcon Guardian will cover supported Codex coding agents, adding inventory, activity monitoring, detection and policy enforcement. CrowdStrike will also use OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Cyber model in its platform and in a new assessment service.
